Tenders agency defers KD 73.1 million Al-Zour refinery maintenance award

Kuwait's Central Agency for Public Tenders has postponed its decision on a request to award the maintenance services tender at Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company's Al-Zour refinery to Fawaz Trading and Engineering Services, which submitted the second-lowest compliant bid. The adjusted total value is about KD 73.138 million, down from KD 74.502 million, after an arithmetic error was corrected and prices were rebalanced. The agency also took up again a request to award the refinery's electrical maintenance and precision instruments maintenance tender to ABJ Engineering and Contracting, the lowest compliant bidder, at an adjusted value of about KD 70.087 million instead of KD 70.248 million, according to Al-Rai.
