The tax applies to tobacco, energy drinks and soft drinks
Kuwait expects annual revenue of about KD 200 million from applying the excise tax, which is imposed under the GCC unified excise tax agreement on specific goods including tobacco, energy drinks and soft drinks, according to Al-Qabas.
